Is a full bottle of perfume worth an empty wallet?

This is a question I asked myself almost every day as a broke college student trying to smell good and impress the people around me. I genuinely believed people around me could afford a Rs.1,999 perfume almost every month or two until I found myself in a group conversation.
I found out something that was unexpected to me. Almost 80% of my friends and class could not afford the Rs.1,999 a month perfume purchase. Some had got one as a birthday gift, some could buy it once every three months or so and some got part-time jobs just to afford it. This was ridiculous to me as a bottle of 50 ml perfume should not cost as much and not be a luxury available to few while we all walk around smelling the same with no self-identity. As someone who enjoys debates and being bold about self opinions, this was humiliating to me.
Hello, I am Droohin Mukherjee, the founder of Pink Oasis and all its registered brands. If you have read this far, you definitely know my motivation to start the brand. This is not to promote a brand but to share my story and the crazy experience and realization I went through.
While looking for manufacturers and ways to make perfume, I discovered why luxury perfumes costed as much as they did. The fragrance was not the reason those costed as much, it was the user experience. Right from ordering a sample kit from their website, ordering your first 50ml or 100ml and even the unboxing. They never sold you a product, but rather an experience that would have you asking for more.
At Pink Oasis, we strive to give you with the same level of experience and a unique identity through our never smelled fragrances at a cost where you do not need to worry about avoiding ordering on Zomato or Swiggy or saving up for a perfume that would have your friends say “Hey that smells like the grocery store perfume I use.” Lets be honest, spending around 2-3k and having someone say that it smells like a Rs.200 perfume is disheartening.
